First, unplug all cables and set the iMac on a soft surface. Then, grab the iMac by the sides, and place the iMac facedown on the cloth.
Now, it?s time to find the screws, 1, 2, and 3. You will need a Philips #2 screwdriver. Turn counterclockwise to loosen the screws.
Do not try to remove the screws just loosen until they won?t turn anymore.
Now let?s take the back off bottom side first. Pull up and then pull away. Set the panel aside for now, it is a good idea to touch some metal inside the computer.
Find the clips on either side of the memory, and use your thumbs to press down firmly until the module pops out. Repeat with the other module.
Now it?s time to add new memory. You will see a notch in your memory and a corresponding place in the slot.
Place the memory in the slot and press firmly down with your thumbs. The clips will pop into place.
Repeat with your second module. Now, it is time to put it all back together. And your finished!
