Welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from videofishingknots.com. In this video, I will show you how to tie a Marshall’s Snare, and you start out by forming the loop and the line, and then you tie simple overhead knot like this, sort of wrapping it around the standing part. So you have the standing part going through that overhand knot.
Now, you can just forget about that overhand knot for a while and focus on the loop, and you take the loop, put it through the eye of the hook, and then you pass the entire loop over the hook like this. So you end up with something like this, and there you can start to pull the standing part, and the knot will come closer to the eye of the hook and then here at the final, and you take the tag end and you put it through the loop like that, and you can hold on to it. Now, you just pull the knot tight like this. All you need to do now, is to trim the tag end, and you are done, and that is how you tie a Marshall’s Snare.
