Hello everyone and thank you for tuning in InsideGeekCanada. My name is Evan Thies and today’s our website feature, I am talking about a really cool website for web designers, for graphic designers, and for web developers, and anyone that is encoding. And even if you are not in this stuff, it is a quite cool website just you check out in terms of their kind of an artistic stuff in there. It is really interesting things. I have seen a lot of these things get on Dakers stumble pond, because they are such cool, kind of unique things that they offer in this website. And that website is called smashingmagazine@smashingmagazine.com, and just a cool resource for web designers just to kind of come and look at different designs, CSS examples, fonts and stuff like that. So I am just going divert in here and show you guys a bit of the website.

Okay we are on smashingmagazine homepage here. And smashingmagazine is kind of like a blog, and a showcase, and design how to, it is kind of a pretty much everything in comes of the web design. So this is the front page, and if we scroll down there is such a blog post here. And of course, they have their links on the right hand side there, and bulk of it comes of course, their content. So first tab here is graphics, now graphics basically has a whole bunch of different sets of things you might want to use for your wallpapers, just icons. There is a lot of cool stuff like they have a lot of unique art here which I really love, like if you just go to desktop wallpaper, let us go to space wallpapers and nebula wallpapers here. And if I scroll down, you can actually see, look at all these great free resources here! If you want this on your wallpaper, if you want it you know, in corporate in a design, whatever you want to do. They have tons stuff here to do it with. Let us go up to the top here. The next tab is showcases.

Showcases is one of my favorite tabs because it really just show cases of variety of different websites in techniques that are being used right now. For example, right now it said 40 creative designs now it is getting out of the box. So I assumed getting them out of the box model, in traditional boring structure layout. If I scroll down here, you will see that is pretty much what they are doing. They are showing a lot of interesting layouts that you can almost implement in your web, just look at for ideas. And I think they are really ahead of the benchmark, in this way in showcasing some new unique websites that you know, you will not really find anywhere else.

For the back up to the top here, next here is inspiration. Now here you are just designing something, or you are looking at it to take a great photograph. You need some kind of inspiration, or typically you want some kind of inspiration to help you decide which you want to do.

Now, the last one which I recently saw, these 35 beautiful examples of rain photography and I am not sure where did they get all of these photos from, if they collect themselves or just scour the internet, but some of these are--you know the most amazing photographs I have ever seen. Like this one here I was looking at, like she is ways tide, and water taking a photograph, and this is kind of rain coming down on this body of water here and it is just, this stuff here is incredible to a designer, anyone with artistic background, or even not. If you are just browsing the web, this is some really cool stuff to kind of keep your interest for a long time.

So let us go back to the top here. And the next tab here is fonts. Has any good designer know fonts or crucial to getting the design the way you want. And they have a lot of free fonts on here to, or just kind of different fonts so as designers, we have quite a library of fonts and of course we have our favorite ones, but we do need to discover new fonts to help our designs and improve our designs, and just so they do not all look the same. And with things like they do these free fonts are the most, so if yo
