Hi! I am Irene and I am better known at the forums as Auska Nova, I have been asked to make a tutorial on how to make Steampunk gloves. So what you will need is a pair of scissors, some ribbons or lace filled up with Grommet Setters and Anvil, so that when I fold and would hang around on, Grommets, a girly Marker, a ruler, and whatever (Leather) for making a glove.
The first step that you need to do is identify where is the bottom or the lowest point on your fabric is and you want to measure eight inches across. Then you want to apply a direct cut, it is four inches. And you want to go up six inches or however high you want and that is a guide to creating your triangle so that it connects. From this point, now you just cut that out. When you are cutting it on put on your measurements. So now you have got your triangle cut out. And now we are going to want to go around the edges. So now you have got your triangle, and you are going to have little pieces like this, from here, you turn it over and you just want to cut it off. And here we go, here is where you want to cut it, here for your finger thing, this is about a little over a half inch. And then you can go back and use your left over scrap and you are just going to cut off that area. Then you will want to decide how long you are going to need apparently for you. You will need a scrap. Now when you start it on, you will want to start right there and then -- so prepare so you can do it like this. Now that you have got that going, what you are going to do is fold the edge so it will be curved and then you are going to mark it, you do not have to do it like this, I mean, just reinforces a straight and so just having it, stuff it. So now that you have that one, take your grommet, plunge it over this, hammer it so that it will hold, so, like that. Okay, now that you have got your -- have it plunged and we are going to start, here we go and you will make sure that it is a curved edge, that there is some space in there, around the outside and also place it properly there. Now that you have put it in you will want to hammer it with the grommet. So if you are like me, you will probably want an even space around the center so measure how big it is, pull it in, on that, 4 inches, and through the side, draw it up and what we put away from the cut and then you will want marks around the corner. Now, like with the finger thing, ok here, you can either sew the back together, okay, or you can cut it then just like that, then you just draw holes and this is what I have got. So this is your steampunk glove once it is finished. So you can lift it up, tie the back and you are ready to go. If you will make anything, I would love to see it. So thank you and catch you next time.
And remember to check back tomorrow for the conclusion of steampunk week where we show you how to make the rest of the outfit to go with those gloves. Till then, see you.
