My experience tells me that teachers and coaches just need to guide players to get a feel for the shot as quickly as possible and make sure they have a taste of early success. As I mentioned in previous volumes there are hundreds of approaches to teaching and learning the backhand ground stroke that will each work in different ways.
In this program, we will share a basic progression to get you started. We will also cover both the two handed as well as the one handed shot and to have a future in today's game, I recommend introducing both especially for younger children right from the start. Let's begin with some ideas for the new player of any age, who is trying to hit a backhand for the first time.
