How to Install the Stumbleupon Toolbar P.1

Hi, another video from Mat4.com, what we are going to do now is show you how to add MyBlogLog or add a blog to MyBlogLog and add the widget to your blog.

To give you an example of what I mean, here is my blog called BLOGTACTICS. If I scroll down, somewhere on the sidebar, we have a whole bunch of people that visited us here also in my blog log. The reason we want to do this, few reasons, first of all we got back link from MyBlogLog. We also get that sense of social sights so that people see the other people who are visiting the site. It gives social proof. They are more likely to come back because they can see that other people are visiting it. But it also will help you to get traffic from MyBlogLog itself believe it or not.

We go to MyBlogLog account. I have already logged in. If you knew you will need to create one of these, it is owned by yahoo so you will need to have a yahoo account which is better up here. But you are going to go through that set up, the yahoo ID account and then you can set up your MyBlogLog account.

This is my account as I said. First thing I need to do is click on add site or iblog avatar. You can see the avatar I got already few in here. I have been a member for two to three months and somebody’s sites needs set up quite recently, but you can see I am already getting page for use and readers on MyBlogLog for this particular blogs so as I say, it will bring you traffic. So we click on add sites to the iblog avatar and I will just quickly fill in these details. As you actually type in the blog site name, it will also fill out this field here. Now, the idea really is you want to use some keywords in here. Let us place Facebook application which is what this blog is all about. Once it is filled in, you may not that in there as well. So you can always edit that and just have it as shorter version. Try to get some keywords in the blog name if you can.

So fill in those details, click on add blog and it will refresh, takes one to two. It will try automatically detect the blog platform that you are on. If that is not correct, you can just choose from the dropdown this, whatever it might be, we are on 2.31, I do need to update my WordPress. Click on the add blog site again, once confirmed the details. Now, this bit of code, we need to put in to a certain place in the blog. This is what is going to detect of the MyBlogLog visitors when they come to your site to your blog. So we need to copy this, highlight it all and click on copy. Now, it needs to go between the body open tag on the body close tag which these two tags here. So we need to go to our blog and log on, go to the admin area, go to presentation and theme editor and then choose to edit the header, the header basically to edit it. You click on the header here. Now, we then need to scroll up and down here to find the first body tag. This is the open body tag, the close body tag probably will not appear in the header or be in the different file here. So this is the one that you are looking for and you need to paste a bit of code after that tag. So there we go, paste it after that. Now, I click on update file. That is not yet done, it is not easy to do, just make sure it goes after the first body tag. We then go back to MyBlogLog and we then can update and go to the TagK community which will take a second or two to update. Then we need to go to get this widget. We want the recent readers, widget rub on the top links. So click on that and it will bring up the option to configure this widget.
