The Testament to Human Curiosity in Wikipedia
Question: What is your favorite website?
Wikipedia is great because number one, it’s the argument sulfur. How often have you
been in the party saying, “Oh no, it’s true”, you know life’s serial. If you put pop rocks
on it and eat it your stomach will explode. Well let’s go actually look that up and see
what the story is or that. Or what is the history of wine or why is the CD named what it
is?
I find that I’m often posing those random questions to myself where I will be walking
down the street and I’ll say, “Why is this street called?” you know what it’s called. And I
can look it up on Wikipedia and I can find out, and someone’s actually written about it.
It is a testament to the broad and varied human interest that is out there because the fact
that there are articles on everything, means that there are somewhere out there in the
world is at least one person who is as interested in the topic as I am even more so, so that
they would write that article. And I think that’s fascinating. It’s a testament to the – like
they’re roving curiosity of the human species.
