In the relaxation massage are basically use 5 very simple techniques:
1. A double handed technique on one side of the body.
2. A one handed technique on one side of the body.
3. A technique with one hand of each side of the body.
4. A technique using the back of the hands.
5. Double handed on one side or single handle on one side.
The basic thing about relaxation massage is that you try to put the body in the gentle side to side motion. It is almost like a little wiggle; it?s a very gentle but a very powerful. I usually start this massage with the sacrum because it is the center of the body and it is the best way to warm the body out for the gentle side to side movement. If you get a good response from the person, from the person?s body you will see that a gentle wiggle in the sacrum area will affect the whole body, from the toes all the way up to the head.
After the sacrum I continue with the left leg, just really try do not be forceful with the side to side movement. Just basically try to keep the motion going with very gentle impulses. Then I continue with the right leg, I use here a double handed technique. You can use your the one handed technique or you can do like both legs at the same time, it all depends on your preferences and also on the amount of time that you have available, and then I will go back to the sacrum and then start moving up to the spine.
I usually like to focus, a lot of time on the spine specially on the middle back because there is a lot more restrictions there specially when a person is having bad posture, just working in front of computers or has a tendency to hand hunch over. Then I do the sides of the upper body, switch to the other side, even when you switch to the other side of the table, you still try to keep that side to side motion going that continues flow of side to side motion is very relaxing but at the same time very powerful because you can release deep tension in the body, then I go up to the shoulders and the arms.
Here I show a technique with the one hand on each side, and then I go back to the spine. If necessary I move up and down at the spine you know as needed and then I finished up with the sacrum.
