How to Replace a Neff Gas Hob Knob

Hi! I'm Helen from eSpares. In this video I'm going to show you how to keep a glass or ceramic hob like this Neff gas hob looking like new. I'll show you how easy it is to replace a damaged control knob and the best way to keep a hob like this clean.

Now always make sure before you start working on it that the hob is cool. In order to make sure that you are ordering the correct parts, you'll need the model number of the appliance. In this case, it can be found on a plate underneath here. So let's replace this damaged control knob. This can easily be damaged by a hot pan or roasting tin and it really detracts from the look of the hob.

You just needed to get your fingers underneath the damaged knob and work it off the spindle. Be careful not to turn the gas on while you are removing it and give it a good wipe round as you can. You'll notice that the spindle is D shaped, so you will need to orientate the new knob to fit it back on. Make sure the marker on the new knob is pointing to the off position and then slide the new one on.
