Relationships, whether long-distance or not, are most worth working on if you're convinced you are truly compatible with the other person. I've read lots of ideas on how to determine if two people are meant for each other, and none was better than Hayden Dane's, "I Have One Question." Dane suggests that true compatibility is dependent on admiration. That's not something I had heard before, but after reading his brief e-book, I'm convinced he's right. I no longer work at a relationship; in fact, I no longer enter into a relationship, unless I've had the conversation Dane suggests and am happy with what I've heard. Read his book at http://www.haydendane.com, have the conversation with your long-distance boyfriend, and if you're happy with the results of that conversation, then the relationship would be worth working on--he'll see it and you'll see it. If the results of the conversation leave either of you doubting, then move on.
