Hi everyone, my name is Magician, Dave J. Castle. And today, I am going teach you how to do the Bobo Coin Switch. First, I am going to show you the performance.
You first show a regular quarter, okay? And you tell people if you just toss it a few times, you are going to do some magic just like that, and transform it into a different coin. Now, I am going to teach you how to do this.
You will need two coins. I use a US quarter, and I think this is a English penny. You want something that is a little bit larger than the other coin and a different color.
Now, when you start this effect, you start with the larger coin and the classic palm position. Now, you have your thumb and you have some thick skin right here. Right below that is where you place the coin. And when you bring your hand together like this, you can fold it. Excuse me, in the classic palm position, okay?
Now, when you fold unto the quarter, it makes it look more natural for your fingers to all be together like this, okay?
So once again, this is the position you start in. You have the larger coin in the classic palm position that should take a little bit of practice to learn. And you hold the other coin, the smaller coin in your finger tips, okay?
Now when you start, you show people that you have a regular quarter, and you tell them if you toss it a few times, magic will happen. The first time, you really do toss it. The second time, you really do toss it. Now the third time, you pick up the quarter and you hold it like this, okay?
You hold it just like this, you cover it up and the last time when you toss it, you are going to let go of this coin, okay? So, it is going to look like that in slow motion, okay?
And then, you close this hand. You pull this coin back. Put this in the classic palm position and I just tap the back of my hand, give it a shake and it appears just like that. But you can do with this quarter to get rid of it is when you make this cling appear, I would recommend taking this coin coming down by your side and put it in your pocket, okay?
Though you are looking at this coin, in fact you can hand that to them, and then this coin can go right in your pocket.
So once again, this is the Bobo switch. It is a great magic trick that you can do using two regular coins.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on the Bobo Coin Switch and check out learnmagictricks.org for many other magic trick tutorials. Have a great day.
