Okay, here is the lesson how to play Silent Night. I am going to use three cords in this song and I will go over them first. If you find your C note here and then every second note after that like we did know the videos, that’s your C cord, okay and if you find your F here and use that same spread that is your F cord and up one more to you a G same spread every second note and that is your G cord. So simply, all we are going to need in this song is a C, and F and the G.
If you find hard to play all three notes just play the first two, you can get a similar sound just listen the difference here and three is
[DEMO]
Okay, three, two so if you find a hard to play a three note cord, play a two. Okay same up here with the F, and the same with the G, okay. Sometimes when you are starting it is hard to use three fingers but it is not too bad using two. Okay, with the right hand we are going to start on this G note here. And let us start of and goes like this.
[DEMO]
And play it to twice, okay and we go up to this D note here. Okay, do it again.
[DEMO]
Okay, right from the start again I will do it for you, nice and slow.
[DEMO]
Okay, the D.
[DEMO]
Okay, so once you have mastered that, we are going to put some chords with it. We are going to start of with our C chord. Or if you are using two notes use that, okay. I will use three for the demonstration. Okay, we are starting out for the G note here, okay.
[DEMO]
Do it twice.
[DEMO]
Okay we can go up to a G chord and then back to a C. Okay let us run to that one more time here, C chord in your left hand.
[DEMO]
Up to a G, back to a C. Okay, the next part going up to this A note here.
[DEMO]
Okay, let us go up to there again.
[DEMO]
Okay, and with the chord we are going to use an F, okay.
[DEMO]
And down to a C.
[DEMO]
Okay, do that again nice and slow, okay, F cord in your left hand.
[DEMO]
And down to a C. Okay, and the final part of the song is, you go up here one note above the C and get this D here.
[DEMO]
Okay, one more time.
[DEMO]
Okay, and with our chord in that, it is G chord here, and the C.
[DEMO]
Okay, we will do that again, G chord.
[DEMO]
Okay, and when you got that, we still have one more part to go left and it starts of here. I will get very my last hand for you.
[DEMO]
Okay, one more time. Okay, and with our chord, we are using a C.
[DEMO]
And go up to a G, and your fingers were going to run together here. You already have that one but push it with that let go with your left hand and push it with that one, okay and back to a C. Let us go for that part again because it is a little trickier, okay. So, we are starting in our C chord and a C note up here.
[DEMO]
Up to a G, but go here, hit with this one. Okay, so at full speed, it would sound like this.
[DEMO]
Okay, so that is the little part to try there. Let me go through the whole thing nice and slow. And so that you can see it, okay, starting with a C chord here.
[DEMO]
Go up to a G, C, up to an F chord, down to a C, okay F, C, up to a G and to a C, okay and here is the ending, up to a G.
[DEMO]
Okay, there you go. Practice that, you will be doing that well in time for Christmas this year and good luck with it. Let me know how you make up.
