Tabs are a simple way to set stones & glass
Creating Tabs & Folds
Rollout the back plate, cut to size and apply texture. Trace out a paper pattern the size of your glass piece (factoring in shrinkage).
Cut Tabs
Cut tabs into the back of the metal clay. Dry and sand smooth.
Fold Tabs
Fire, tumble and finish setting. Fold tabs. Set glass and secure tabs so that they hold the glass securely in place.
