Using the Shrink Set Method

“Captured Glass” Method
Using the “Captured Glass” Method
Rollout the back plate, cut to size and apply texture. Cut a hole in the center of the back plate so the glass is visible and to allow expansion.
Cut
Create two or more smaller pieces to hold the glass in place. Rollout the pieces. Cut and texture.
Apply
Place the glass on the back plate Apply the other small pieces over the outside of back plate and over the glass.
Smooth
Finish
Fix with paste to set. Add holes for findings, if desired. Dry. Sand and finish in green state.
Fire
Fire. Tumble Finish
