I was born in England and I've lived in Australia since 1970 after moving here with my family.  I am married with 5 children, mostly grown up now, my youngest son still attends high school. I work full-time night shift as a receptionist/clerk/telephonist in the Emergency Department of my local hospital.

I've had one book published called Text Talk, Anagrams and Abbreviations Guide (Australian Edition) published through RoseDog Books.

I love making teddy bears and have a new site called My Stuffed Teddy

I've mostly worked in State and Federal Government positions over the years, but I would like very much to stay home and write.

    Trauma Teddies are given out to people who are suffering a traumatic experience. The Red Cross donate the teddies to hospitals, emergency services, police, fire brigades and nursing homes who then give them to people suffering trauma. They are very easy to make.

I would love to make some of these wonderful bears. Why can't I use regular fiberfill as stuffing?I am unfamiliar with the filling you have described for Australia. In the U.S., we use polyester fiberfill for our dolls. Please let me know how to go about making some of these bears to give to the police, La Piñon abuse center, etc. I know they would love to give them to children in need.
