I don't know why, but Muslims, Mormons and other tightly centralized cults are gullible. I suppose it's because their cult leaders discourage it, if they didn't, then they'd be losing their members because they'd be discovering the truth about cults.

I am not claiming Bukisa scammed me, but I am wondering what is happening. Today I discovered at least a dozen of my articles, which is all the time I have had to review so far, are posted all over the Internet at various websites.

It appears they have been stolen/copied and just published elsewhere. Sometimes they use their own byline and other times they copy everything, including my name and title that appears at the bottom of every Bukisa article. The only place I have published the FULL articles is at Bukisa, so I know they are pulling it from there.

HOW? I thought Bukisa had it set-up so viewers/readers could not copy the articles if I checked the box stating no copying/altering. In other words, I retain full copyrights to all my articles published at Bukisa.

My articles are not the only ones I came across either. I found several other Bukisa writer's articles. Some of those had a Webika copyright notice at the bottom posted right along with the illegal republishing of their article.

One thing is obvious to me. Bukisa is NOT protecting its writer's copyrights when they publish at this website. What is so frustrating is tracking down all these and asking them to remove them. A complete waste of time. There are literally hundreds of websites out there with my work now. They got it for FREE. I don't have the time to go after all of them in the courts.

I am researching what else can be done. I have found one promising option. There is something called the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), which Internet Service Providers and search engines (major ones like Google, Yahoo, AOL, AltaVista and others) are required to help copyright owners to have violator's websites quickly removed from the web.

I won't "steal" this writer's content, but have provided the link to it. Lorelle at WordPress does an excellent job providing details and links to help you understand how to have websites taken down that are illegally using your content on their website. Be sure to click on the link for the DMCA major search engines info!

Check your articles. Conduct an advanced Google search using just the title of your article and see what pops up. I was amazed at how many different websites are using my content free and illegally. What really ticks me off is they are being ranked higher than my own website, so others are bypassing my site, lowering my potential income, to read it for free at the illegal websites!

If anyone else finds the same problem please post me a note at InkSpot at Bukisa or email me at snubba@live.com. Also, write Bukisa and ask what their intentions are to correct this problem. The way I see it is there isn't any sense writing for Bukisa if they let everyone steal the content and publish it elsewhere.

@jamed. I'm such a lazy person. I hate bookmarking my articles and promoting them and begging and pestering friends and family to view my articles. So for me SEO is the only way to go. I don't do much promotion except for leaving links to my articles on myLot. I get most of my traffic from search engines and not just Google. I get them from Yahoo, Ask, Bing and AOL.

Several of my Bukisa articles have been plagiarized. I approached the webmasters. Some did remove the content but there were those who just couldn't be bothered. I don't mind them using my articles on their site. I feel quite flattered that they want to do that. But when I tried to submit those articles on another site, I was accused of plagiarizing a plagiarist. That is where I draw the line. I contacted the webmasters and threatened legal action and they quickly remove the content.

This technique is very easy for beginners to do. Just be patient while doing the keyword research. Keyword research can take some time to do effectively. For experts at keyword research this technique won't get them much page views. Because 100 page views a month for one article is very little but for me this will add up and the more you write, the better you'll get at doing keyword research and you can target keywords which are highly searched.

These are really helpful tips.Writers certainly must plan and organize their writing to write fast. And also to set a schedule. I always aim to write at least one article a day. I wish to increase this to five or ten articles a day. I did manage to write six articles once but after that I was so mentally exhausted that I couldn't write for the next couple of weeks so writing too many articles in a day seem to defeat the purpose of trying to earn more money.
