I live in a little village of fewer than 400 souls in Essex, UK and love the peace and the 'big skies' of this arable land.
Our son and daughter are grown and living their own lives and my wife, love and good companion of 39 years and I live happily in our little house.
Sailing is one of my passions and my old fishing boat, an Essex smack, was built in 1885 and therefore short on luxuries, but I enjoy sailing all boats whether crawling in local muddy creeks, racing offshore or crossing oceans.
A retired engineer, I now 'keep the grey matter active' by helping neighbours with their computers and sorting out problems. I have designed and run web sites for over 10 years such as Hill of Cash and they provide a modest income.
