Tony Payne lives on the South Coast of England with his wife Debbie. He has worked in the IT Industry all his life, and has been writing on various sites for the last 10 years.
Tony has traveled extensively, both for business and leisure, and has lived in New Zealand and the USA as well as his native England.
He enjoys writing about many different topics, often writing about something that grabs him impulsively at the time. Ancient History and Humor are just two diverse topics that he has a passion for, and he also likes to write about his travel experiences and to share his love of photography.
Tony would love to write a book one day, but so far the closest that he has come to finding a topic is an autobiography. He is not confident that there is a large enough audience for a 12 volume book entitled "I Only Wanted An Simple Life".

There are many Americans who have little experience of the world outside of their country, not realizing that other countries have their own traditions, and that some traditions which exist in the USA are purely American traditions. Thanksgiving is one of these...
Not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving in the same way. For some people it's a reason to give thanks, for others it's a chance for families and friends to get together. For others still, Thanksgiving brings Black Friday, the best shopping day of the year.
This is a Horror Story for Halloween, which describes the first Trick or Treat for a young boy, and a night that he will never forget. Some things cannot be explained, and what really happened on that fateful night, I guess we will never know.
Internet games like Evony can be very addictive, but because of their nature, they can also begin to take over your life. This is an informative article about the dangers of internet games like Evony.

Wow scary article and comments all around. I was going to state that my wife seems to be in the clutches of Farmville, but it seems quite a bit less than what I am hearing arouind here. However, I have come to a point where I have been obsesed over articles and creating backlinks.

I love the way you turned this cultural lesson into a poem. I will tuck it away with the Thanksgiving Placecards for next fall. One of the traditions my family has is to read amusing articles we have found over the years related to the holidays we are celebrating and I know that your poem will certainly become one looked forward to each year. Thank you for sharing.

Hey, "Poddys," what a surprise! Tried to find a way to send you a message but couldn't. Nice poem, I won't hold the "getting rid of the trash" against you since you don't hold all the wise-acre remarks I make about England against me!
pocketsofchange on Thanksgiving Day As Seen From Across The Pond on 25th, Nov 2010
cute funny poem! The line about the trash made me laugh! I am Canadian and we celebrated our Thanksgiving over a month ago, so this is not a holiday weekend for us either.

I'm 16, and Mother herself has gone mad about it. No way to talk with her, discussion doesn't exists anymore, except to talk about Evony. Dunno what to do. Tells me I exaggerate, and other things like that. Sorry for my english, I'm french. So, only to say I totally agree, even here there's no way to escape it (lol). Hope with your fiancée it'll get better !

Sounds interesting. Off to register with Squidstop. I am curious because I am a lensmaster on Squidoo as well. Backlinks are always good to have, and another site is always worth having.

I don't hold any grudges against anyone, it's wonderful when people can see the funny side in things, and I love jokes about England as well.

Billy's story is just one of thousands of people where Evony has completely taken over their lives. As good as these games might be, the need to spend countless hours maintaining troops and building cities, and making sure that there are no enemies at the gates, takes it's toll on real relationships over time.
The fear of losing everything you have spent months working to build, while you are sleeping, can also lead to depression and lack of sleep.
It is becoming a serious issue in our society, and it will only be so long before someone coins the term "Evonyitis" for the dreaded addiction.
for Shopping in London From Harrods to Sainsburys on 14th, Oct 2010
Having lived in the USA for 15 years and just returned to the UK 15 months ago, I can relate to the differences in shopping. Nothing beats a SuperWalmart, even Asda over here (which is owned by Walmart).
The shopping aisles are so narrow here, the selection of foods is generally wider, and more European as well.
Cheese as you said is cheaper here, and the UK sells cheese from everywhere, not just from Wisconsin! The Parmesan you get here is at least from Italy and tastes amazing too. I could never understand why bread in the USA is so expensive, when you grow all the grain at home. It's a lot cheaper in the UK, and more variety too.
I do miss a lot of things from the USA though.
Isn't Harrods something else! I haven't been there in over 20 years, but it used to be a real experience to shop there.
for A Brief Review of The Best Reviewer Article Writing Site on 7th, Oct 2010
Exactly my own thoughts on Best Reviewer. Well explained, and my first thought was on how to promote my lenses or other articles through it. I have already got some reasonable traffic and some Adsense clicks in 2 days.
With it being from the creator of She Told Me, I would expect to find plenty of backlinks generated quickly, and expect it to quickly rise in Google status.
Nice to see you on there. Wish you luck.
