I have been a Registered Nurse, certified in the specialty of Psychiatric nursing, for over 25 years, and maintain a profound interest in improving the status of those diagnosed with mental illness, their treatment both medical and by society at large, and the quality of their lives. Happily married, I have raised a beautiful daughter to adulthood, and am now raising my 8 year old son, who is the joy of my life and truly a gift from God. I have been an avid reader for as long as I can remember being alive, and have always been interested in writing poetry and short stories. Currently back in school working on an additional degree, I have found that I also enjoy writing non-fiction articles.
