This is a great overview of hiring a wedding planner. Thanks for including a realistic breakdown of pros and cons; it's really tough for couples to make an informed decision with all the conflicting information out there.

Something additional to consider: a good wedding coordinator can actually pay for the cost of their services because of the exclusive discounts they have access to.
