Thank you for visiting my profile and for reading. First, I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer and aside from my first love (writing), I enjoy the little things in life like activities in the great outdoors - Mother Nature, interior painting, painting on canvas and furniture, doing minor home improvements, and gardening. There are many things I enjoy doing and couldn't place them all in just this short biography. Most of the credentials I have are not recorded. However, I have many in regards to what I call my first love. Ever since my 8th Grade English Teacher, Mr. Giantemosi, introduced poetry to the class, it was instant when my eyes met, "The Tiger" By, Emily Dickenson. The sheer volume of heartfelt harp strings every word played inside of me, created an orchestra of emotions I knew of, but could not identify. That poem helped me to understand what all of my emotions were and why they were in my life at the tender age of 13. It was love at first sight. Back then, I had learned what lyrical rhythm, stanzas, tones, and cryptography all were. That class was amazing and I will never forget it. Since then, I have buried myself in creating poetry every day and pulling most of my work together to review it a few years down the road. I, then, was attending Vocational High School in North Bergen, New Jersey and stumbled upon my first Literature and Creative Writing classes. The possibilities from what I had learned there were endless in the class room of Mr. Gutmund. Of course, we reviewed poetry in that classroom, but we also learned how to write ballots, sonnets, and screenplays. I was at the height of my glory just thinking of the possibilities of what I could do with my future. Upon Graduation, I lost sight of that passion out of fear that if I did not obtain a respectable job, I wouldn’t make it in this world. So, I entered the field of sales. My career grew from there into owning my own Small Internet Business today, but there was a spark still in me that never gave up dreaming. When I first entered the sales field, I ended up contributing articles and poetry to my local newspaper, The Observer located in Kearny, New Jersey. While writing my poetry and articles for the paper and working for a telemarketing firm selling newspapers, I dug up my old book of poetry I started in 1999 and continued writing it till it’s end in April of 2008. It took me years to complete, but much has happened in between; both personally and in the growth of my Career. Though I still have a copy of each press release in The Observer, I continued to contribute to other sources out of the necessity to get my work out there. Four years later, I ended up submitting some of my work over to Poetry.com and ended up receiving the Editor’s Choice Award in February 2007 just when my close friend gave birth to her Son, Owen Reilly Cochran. I was selling Health Insurance Coverage Plans from home then. Between, learning the independence of working for myself and continuing to grow with my passion, my first love, I took it upon myself to expand my skills by writing a review article for an Independent Small Business, Twin Design Group, LLC located in Florham Park, New Jersey. Oh the wonders of social media networking. This opened my eyes to developing my writing skills further than the typical style of short stories and poetry that have given me a sense of fulfillment for so many years. I have developed blogs all over most Social Networking Websites like, MySpace, Blogger, Yuwie, and Squidoo. I saw the potential of my content reaching a large audience and have decided that expanding my skills by continuing to learn about and produce excellent article content for a vast audience of readers to come. - Jennifer Korol (a.k.a.)
