My life began many years ago on the small Japanese Island of Okinawa (not Japanese--Dad was in the Navy). Fast forward some 38+ years and you will find me married with five children (no I'm not crazy!), working as a Mechanical Inspector for a local municipality, and trying to live the best Christian life I can.
I attend Easthill Baptist Church in Bartlett Tennessee and teach the College and Career Sunday school class with my wife.
Reading has been a big part of my life since my early teen years, and writing has been a natural development from that. I may not always get the finer points of writing correct, but I always try to make it interesting.

by jaydillon | in Religion & Spirituality > Religion
My mother, Alice Dillon, died on March 27th, 2008. Her funeral was on April 1st, which was fitting since she liked to 'fool' around. This is the sermon I preached at her funeral. Although it was a sad loss, we won't be apart forever thanks to the Saviour, Jesus Christ the Righteous.

Why Wisdom is Vital to the Christian Life
by jaydillon | in Religion & Spirituality > Religion
What is wisdom? Is it necessary to our lives, and if so, how do we get wisdom? The Bible discusses the different kinds of wisdom and the sources to obtain it. Wisdom is lacking in the lives of God's people today, and we must return to the Bible for answers concerning it.
