Excellent essay, InkSpot! (You even got some titillating sex in there!) What I don’t get is why some folks worry so much that AE will be dominated by the rich guys whose names aren’t being revealed, and who are paying the bills for getting AE on the ballot. This cannot happen without AE committing suicide. If the elites don’t let the AE voters make all the decisions about who will be a candidate, and the elites pick their own guy, or drop someone they don't like, AE membership will scream in protest, denounce the organization, leave it, and the world will know it is not democratic. But the elites are not dummies. They are not going to throw away $30M, spent on ballot access, by interfering with the candidate selection process. This is why it doesn't matter to me who the rich guys are, as long is the PROCESS they are paying for is open and democratic in the way it operates. Everyone can see that candidates are either self-selected or drafted by AE members. The rich guys haven’t interfered with this (and surely won’t).

Also, all the candidates in the AE primary will appear before the AE voters FOR FREE. Thus, the winner of the primary will have no political debts to pay, except to the AE voters. In the Repub circus we all have been witnessing, each candidate has contributors who have pitched in millions of dollars. They will expect something in return, if their guy ever gets into the White House.

AE is a gift to lovers of democracy. It is a model of how a national online primary could be held in the future. This opportunity for true democratic reform could be lost just because some folks are suspicious of the rich guys who pay the bills – even though everyone can see the process is open.

True lovers of democracy, you MUST actively support AE, or be exposed as couch potatoes indifferent to the fate of your nation!

I was able to grow rhubarb in North Carolina by planting it in partial shade. I guess I fooled it into thinking it was further north?

Recycled candle firestarters are a brilliant idea! :)

The makeshift wax container made from a coffee can made me smile too.

I have a problem with not having enough to write as much as I would like. I have tons of subjects already. As a matter of fact, I have more than 50 articles in various stages of completion, ranging from just the title to almost finished. There simply are not enough hours in the day.

for The Obscenity, Pervasiveness, And Perversion Of Money In Our Election Process on 5th, Apr 2012

Another great article - 5 stars. I am glad to see other writers speaking out about these problems. Americans can no longer bury their heads in the sand and pretend that our government is out of control. It's time to do something about it this election or forever hold our peace.

for The Fiscal Insanity That Is Our Election Process on 5th, Apr 2012

Great article and so true. It seems it doesn't matter whether you vote Rep or Dem--same ol' crap, which is why I have chosen to stand up and take action. Have you heard of Americans Elect? The first Internet primary that allows American voters to draft, then register and vote in the primary to choose the candidate they want on the Nov ballot. No more of this small group of delegates choosing the Presidential candidates--Americans vote and choose their own. Sweet deal. Register and vote if you are fed up with the candidates they keep throwing at us.......we have to do something different this election! Visit: AmericansElect.com for more info. Or I wrote an article at Bukisa about it to help others understand the new voting system, which really cuts out the wealthy and special interests: http://www.littleurl.net/383366

for Grow an Organic Chicken Garden For Homemade Chicken Feed on 30th, Aug 2011

I found the Google website where authors who have found their articles stolen/copied and republished elsewhere on the Internet can report it to Google. According to the DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act) they are then required to shut down the website for copyright infringement.

Finally, an easy way for writers to protect their articles. Be sure to always click the "Do not Alter/Copy" button on Bukisa when publishing as well. I always do and still had this problem.

Here is the website for Reporting this to Google. They will shut down the websites and provide a new link to your article's legitimate web address! :)

for Plagiarism - Someone Stole My Article! on 30th, Aug 2011

Here is a good link for shutting down websites that have stolen your articles: http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2006/04/10/what-do-you-do-when-someone-steals-your-content/

It provides information about the DMCA or Digital Millenium Copyright Act. An author need only contact a website's Internet Service Provider and the major search engines, who will quickly (and are required by the DMCA) to shut down the website for copyright infringement.

I have noticed MANY of my Bukisa articles have been stolen recently. Check yours by searching the titles in an advance Google search. What pops up might surprise you!
