Frances Stanford is a retired teacher and and writer of many teacher resource books, especially novel study guides. After spending 31 years in the classroom, she now devotes her time to freelance writing.

She lives in the small scenic community of Grates Cove, Newfoundland, Canada. When she writes she can look out through her window at the Atlantic Ocean.

She loves knitting and crocheting. Her Aran knit sweaters have sold all over the world to visitors who come to her craft store in the community.

She enjoys reading and travelling and plans to do lots of both now that she has time to do as she pleases. She also has two beautiful grandchildren, but since they live in other provinces she doesn't get to see them as much as she would like. She do elike the travelling to see them though and eagerly awaits their annual visits. Oh yes! She also loves seeing her son and daughter and their spouses too.
