One of my personal favorite books is On Being a Shit: Unkind Deeds and Cover-Ups in Everyday Life.  I learned about being a shit from my research on violence, where I saw many people do terrible things and then do all  kinds of things to cover up, such as acting innocent, acting indignant if accused, using humor, and blaming others.Â
