It takes me a while to get to know someone, but when I do (and I consider you a friend), you will be a friend for life! Call me old fashioned, but I believe in loyalty and in truth.
I am an animal lover (I have a small dog), and anything to do with nature inspires me. There is so much beauty around us, we just need to take the time to sit back and SEE it! Take off the blindfolds so to speak, and open our minds.
Photography, writing and animal welfare are my passions, but I'm also a keen gardener, avid reader and love to travel - especially when it involved learning about another culture.
At the moment I am learning all I can about Internet Marketing through Social Media, and finding it fascinating!

This photograph was sent to me from friends during the recent evacuation of Theodore, a small country town in Queensland, Australia, which felt the full brunt of the recent floods. It touched my heart, and I’m sure animals (even wild animals), know when we are trying to help them.
I can’t believe that I am experiencing grief about losing my chickens – they were just plain old, run-of-the-mill chickens, for heaven’s sake!
The state of Queensland, Australia, is going through some of the worst floods in 150 years. Two cyclones out at sea have brought weeks of torrential, non-stop rain. As a result, rivers and creeks have peaked and overflowed through whole communities and towns, and the state of Queensland has been declared a disaster area.
Are you thinking of getting a pet as a Christmas gift for your children this year? Have you considered the long term implications?
Imagine this. You have been sharing emails and chatting to a friend on the internet for a year, then they announce they are visiting your country and would like to meet you in person! Here is my own personal story.
Are you still grieving over the loss of your pet? It takes some of us longer than others to get over it, and we all have to deal with the loss in our own way. Have you thought of making a scrapbook of your pet's life? The book will always be something positive to remember your pet by.
Halloween is a fun time for humans - but what about our pets? It can be a scary time for them because of the noise from fireworks, flashing lights and incessant ringing of the doorbell from trick-or-treaters. Here are some tips to keep in mind for the safety of your pet.

for Origins of Christmas Traditions on 8th, Jan 2011
This is a brilliant article, laid out in an orderly style and explained well. I have known for years that Jesus was not born on December 25th, and that everything associated with "Christmas" festivities is pagan. Therefore, I don't celebrate it, but I find it strange that many people know it's pagan, but still celebrate it. I guess it's hard to stop old habits for some people, and then people say "it's nice for the kids", but I'd rather my kids knew the truth - then they can decide for themselves. Thanks for taking the time to collect all that information, it's a goldmine!
for 10 Reasons Why Working in a Theme Park is Not Fun. on 8th, Jan 2011
Haha - I will make a wild guess and say you didn't enjoy working at a Theme Park! When we go round these parks as a visitor, I don't suppose we give much thought to the people who have to work there, so thanks for an insider's point of view!
for It's Christmas Time Again on 11th, Dec 2010
You are right about Christmas originating from pagan beliefs, as Jesus wasn't born at this time of the year. However, the fact that he did live and spread his message is what's important, and Christmas is a time of year for loving and giving. Seeing children's eyes light up with the magic of Christmas is heartwarming. We can all make a difference to a child's life - all we have to do is put it into action, and your article is a great reminder to each and every one of us!

for Why Should Adults Never Lie to Children?? on 7th, Dec 2010
We should never lie to children (or anyoneelse for that matter). Nothing beats the truth, as we see in this story; it was easier for John to accept the truth than a lie because he knew that's just what it was - a lie. Children know when they are being lied to anyway, they are smart. Great article Buenavida!
