My Bukisa articles center on a theme: blended families.

I married Angela in 2001.  I was divorced, no children.  Angela had three boys and a daughter.  So I married into the family, receiving with my wife a high schooler, a junior high son, an elementary aged son, and a two year old.

It wasn't long before they were all living under my roof.  I love them all like they are my own, along with the two daughters-in-law and two grandsons that have joined in the family.

Taking on an advanced family like this is not for the fainthearted.  It is not for lazy or selfish men.  You have to be the best of men.  I...was not.

I have a passion for completing families.  I believe families need a strong, manly, Christ-like spiritual leader.  I've learned a lot over the past years.  I hope to give a little of the wisdom I've learned so far, and continue to learn through the Holy Spirit.

I live in Marysville, WA, where I am a full-time chaplain for the Washington National Guard.  Bella, our 9 year old, is at home with us.  The boys are grown and on their own now.  We are members of Mars Hill Church and attend the Shoreline campus.
