This article is a musing on the value of aging as opposed to the "youth mania."Society, in general, seems to have relented to the exaggerated focus on the young as if life's seasons have suddenly converged on the young. For society to flow like a pristine river, people need to develop a sense of balance about their views.

Healthy knees and other joints after 40

In 1994 my knees were strong and my dreams were wild. Every Monday, I would walk seven kilometers from the national highway to foothill villages of Mt. Banahaw. I loved the roadside with its gifts every early morning trek. Now my knees and other joints need a little kindness from predators of all types. Among the predators is time.
