About Me:

I turned 41 this year (2010) and my boyfriend Tony turned 50.

We work from home, offering web design and writing services, and a bit of photography, SEO and web research, and live in East London, South Africa, with my two sons and my parents.  I enjoy writing and write for my own sites and blogs, as well as for Factoidz, HubPages, Triond, Helium, Xomba, and Constant Content.

It's fun to make money writing online in my spare time. It's early October 2010, and I'm looking forward to spending time on Bukisa!

buenavida on My Google Adsense Earnings Testimonial on 18th, Dec 2010

I hope this will work for you in the long run, but I also hope you have an alternative income source, as Adsense can shut down an account without expaining why, even if you try to follow the rules exactly - That happened to me. I have another income source that takes very little time and you can use a part of your earnings to start your income. Welcome to send me a message if you want to know more..!:)

for You Don’t Have To Be A Talented Or Experienced Writer To Make Money Writing Online on 16th, Feb 2011

You write well, and I congratulate you on coming this far, especially if you didn't write well before. You've come a long way in a short while. Learning as you go along is one of the best ways to improve, and you're doing it with flair.

for Some Ways to Earn on Bukisa And Other Writing Sites on 18th, Dec 2010

Lovely article; easy to read, and I agree that short paragraphs should always be used.

I used to use traffic exchanges, the manual ones I think, and quite a few of them - the longer I spent viewing other people's pages, the more views I got to my own sites/pages, and it was quite a visits I got! - but nobody converted into hiring me for the freelance services I offer - as they're simply viewing my pages in return to get credits for their own pages to be viewed. It's just traffic, that the search engines didn't even see as quality taffic to raise my sites any higher in the search results. I used to put a homepage of one of my sites through the system, that did not have any Adsense ads on it, or I would use a splash page, but as I started taking more interest in earning from Adsense, I totally stopped using traffic exchanges, as was not prepared to take any risks in possibly losing my Adsense account.

Now I prefer to do a bit of keyword research for writing articles to optimize them for the search engines, in an effort to get more natural traffic, from visitors who are actually looking for the type of content or services I offer. The traffic may be a bit less, but it's more targetted.

for My Google Adsense Earnings Testimonial on 18th, Dec 2010

Hi beunavida - thanks for the warnings - yes, it is worrying that Adsense can just shut down my account at any time even if I follow the rules exactly. If something goes wrong and I try to explain I did nothing wrong, I am aware that Adsense might still not reinstate my account. Adsense is not my only source of income, I could not live on just the Adsense amounts I list in my article here. I do also mention that I do freelance work from home. I do hope nothing goew wrong, though, as I would love to continue trying to increase my monthly passive income from Adsense. Thanks for offering another source of income opportunity, but I don't sign up for anything that costs money at this point in time. I've considered loads of opportunites but it still always comes down to spending lots of time marketing it if it's going to work a all, and trying to convince others it works even if I am not yet earning much myself. I'm happy to chug along trying Adsense and writing online, and will only consider other opportunites should something go wrong, which I honestly hope never does. I'm sorry you lost your Adsense account, and am glad for you that you found something else that works for you.

for Facts You Should Know About Online Writing on 15th, Dec 2010

You've pointed out the facts that writers should know about online writing in a neat, orderly, and easily understandable way. It's hard work, writing online, and trying to earn some income from it, but those who are determined to stick to it, learn more about writing online and optimizing their articles for search engines, as they go along, and who can be a little patient, will see rewards.

for Redgage: Income From Social Networking - 3 Key Ways to Earn, Earn, Earn Using Redgage on 15th, Dec 2010

Congrats on your 7 features on RedGage - I've had only one in the five months since I joined - yesterday :) - I've earned only a little over $6 but I don't have much content there and do plan to try find the time to add more, especially photos, as my photos seem to do much better on RedGage than on Triond - and of couse way way better than on Facebook where I don't earn a thing when people view my photos :) I don't know if it's just my browser that I use, or what, but I do find the site incredibly slow, and this does put me off spending more time on RedGage, when I'm trying to be all over the place at once, but, when there's enough time to spare, I do try spend a bit of time on RedGage - it's a great site!

for My Google Adsense Earnings Testimonial on 15th, Dec 2010

Hi revivor - I'm pleased my article encourages you - it can be trying waiting to see improvements, but hang in there - I cannot devote all my "working time" to online writing and trying to increase my passive income earnings from Adsense, but I'm really pleased to see it gradually increasing the more time I am able to devote to "my little project." It does get better, so just keep at it :)
