I believe that meditation is such an important tool to have a better life that is should be taught in schools. Our current lifestyle is creating more stress every day, and it does not seem like it will be diminished sometime.

This is why it is so important for us to learn the techniques you mentioned, where we can get our stress levels down without having to get artificial pills that will only harm ourselves in the long run.

Besides meditation personally I use tai chi to help decrease my stress levels, which both help me relax and also as a way to exercise. The people who practice it will surely know that although it seems so smooth, it actually increases the strength on your legs, since you have to bend them a little.

Anxiety and stress are big threats for our well being, so articles like the one you posted are extremely important resources to fight them.
