you know i am a wife of a seaman. my husband is always away from us. i could remember one thing that my husband always tells me, homesick comes in at bedtime. So what he will do the whole day is to work so hard, he needs to be tired enough so that when he comes back to his cabin he'll get to sleep easily. And he never sleep with the lights off.
