About Me:

My father was a writer and I can't remember a time when I didn't write. Over the years I have had numerous articles published off line, as well as many online. I have been a Christian preacher since 1974, and head up an international ministry organization.

I live in a tiny country town in Victoria, Australia, and have two adult sons and five grandkids.

  • Goal Setting for Newlyweds

by LynnBFowler | in Family > General

The wedding is over. The honeymoon was a wonderful time of focusing on nothing but each other and the present. Now you are home, and the reality is beginning to sink in that the wedding was not the goal, but merely the first step. It's time to take stock of where you are going together.

  • Introducing Your Toddler to Chores

by LynnBFowler | in Family > Parenting

It is good for a child to learn at the earliest possible age that, as part of the family, he has responsibilities as well as privileges. Assigning simple chores to the toddler is a good way to do this.

Lisa Paulson on Barbie Dolls - A Great Toy or a Bad Influence? on 4th, Jun 2010

Barbie a bad influence? No. I spent most of my childhood playing with Barbie and I am just fine! Barbie gave me self confidence to be outgoing and happy. Barbie has also been seen as a firefighter, vet, doctor, lawyer, cook, ETC. This gave me the confidence to be whatever I wanted to be not what I thought was easiest. It's so stupid that people actually under go about 20 plastic surgeries just to look like Barbie. If little girls play with Barbie's they must also keep in mind that they are just a doll. No one looks like her! Parents can tell the little girls they are beautiful and build self confidence to for their kids. Overall Barbie impacted me for the better!
