I remember when I went to school talking and listening was a big no no. We would be sent to the principals office for disobeying the teacher and interrupting her. Today kids have no respect for the teachers because they know discipline has been taken out of the class room and their parents doesn't care anymore. There is no fear of the consequences anymore. I would teach like you said in all your article. Don't ignore the students that are giving the problems. It's not fair to the rest of the students who do listen and want to learn. I am so glad someone feels like I do about children learning in schools. The teacher should do what she is getting paid to do, that's her job. My son went to a parents day at school one day with his girlfriend, which she has a 10 year old boy. He said all the kids were out of control the whole entire day there, he mentioned it to the teacher and she told them they are like that every day. She said she contacted their parents several times but the parents won't contact her back. The teacher says the parents don't care whether their children learn or not or they would meet with her and discuss all the problems they are having and of course all these children are failing in her class.
