Millions of '90s Geeks Get Nostalgic over GeoCities
My Twitter feed was abuzz this afternoon with geeks mourning the news that Yahoo! is closing GeoCities, the company that revolutionized web-hosting and design in the '90s. Users created websites in "neighborhoods" tailored to their content -- SunsetStrip for music, Athens for artsier things, Silicon Valley for tech stuff, etc.

Karl Rove, Marc Thiessen, and Fox News are not telling the truth when they claim that U.S. torture techniques prevented a 'west coast 9/11.' Rove et al. claim that after CIA waterboarding, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave authorities information used to foil a West Coast terrorist attack. Not surprisingly, Rove's timetable just doesn't add up.

If I’ve learned anything from gallivanting around the internets it’s this: the majority of people taking the time to talk about their phones hate them.
