I'm back in Oregon after a three year stint in the News. New Zealand, New Mexico... I think perhaps I ought to continue exploring anything and everything New. New York (never been), New Jersey (never been), Papua NEW Guinea (most definitely have not been), etc...

Anyway, I am looking for meaningful work; there have been a few shining possibilities, but no hits yet. Several people have told me to get my teaching degree and become a teacher; I wish I could make them understand that I don't want to BE a public school teacher. I've never wanted to be a teacher and still don't. Now, working for Globe Trekker... that would be cool. Oh, yeah. I even looked into the audition process, which involves VHS cassettes and London. Maybe one of these fine times I'll seek out a willing cameraman...

Oh, yeah. I'm writing a book. Slowly but surely. Sometimes, more slowly than surely. One of these fine times it will end up at a book store near you, so keep an eye out for Mysterious Utility.
