Treat others the way you want to be treated, that’s the hackneyed phrase that has be etched into our mind sense were old enough to speak. It's amazing that so many adults still can’t grasp such a simple concept
the African American culture is at a stand still. I believe this is all due to this self imposed suppression that generation after generation of African American men and women Foolishly claim as the reason they are unable to succeed in America.
I haven't added any favorites yet.

it seems to me that these reasons are applicable to all people, not only blacks :)

"The only reason a large percentage of the African American/ black population are unable to succeed....Is because they are to afraid to think outside of the box and try new things."
Nope...
the only reason why the Black population is unable to succeed is because the overall populace of does not comprehend the concept of "building and creating wealth" within our own communities. we have no understanding of "branding" ourselves and creating "economic structure"...
we basically have nothing to offer or contribute to this society, as a people, except labor...which makes us expendable and treated as such. prime example of what i'm talking about is Lebron James...look at how white folks are tap dancing to get a hold of this negro. declaring a week in his honor, making references to him as "king james"...why??? not because of a championship, he has none. but because his name brings "money"...millions if not billions to their economy, they treat him like royalty. it's business, nothing personal...
and LOL @ negros thinking outside the box...that has to be the biggest hoax of the 21st century. it's a key word phrase used to exploit the not so smart. it was a huge term used in real estate to sucker Black folks into all those sub-prime loans. but when the bottom fell out of the economy, negros realized that they hadn't been thinking outside the box, the box had been made a little bigger...that's all...
the day that Black people become independent and develop a way of creating commerce amongst ourselves...will be the day that we truly begin to think outside the box...

I can't wait to read more from your happy diary :)
I sometimes think people are so stressed that they have forgotten what it feels like to be happy. That feeling of anxiety and stress becomes and the norm and that is something we need to move out of. Like you said just look up at the sky or watch the oceans waves or listen to birds chirp--- its the perfect remedy.

This is true it is applicable to all people, however i have lots of friends of different creeds and races and from my experience the majority of the negativity backstabbing and depressive behaviors...came from black people.....see other races work together....however black people don't.....in general...they don't like to see one person doing better than the them....and if your not in a depressive degenerate state like they are...they talk about you...now this is not all black people just the ones that i have personally had exp with....so i feel that my race "African American" need motivation to get there mental game up..... but ur very right...but it takes a edgy title like "why black ppl are so unhappy" to actually get black ppl to read it..

Shakka we are arguing the same point. "Think outside of the box" is a general term, the traditional definition is “Thinking outside the box is to think differently, unconventionally or from a new perspective. This phrase often refers to novel, creative and smart thinking.” In this context it is to be interpreted as "breaking out of old habits" and creating new ones...or stop working for the matrix and let the matrix work for you. I am not going to argue with you for conversation sake. The reason is because i agree with you. and as far as what you wrote your saying the exact same thing im saying except your saying it in a different way. You picked on phrase out of the entire article and used it as the basis of ur entire argument. But im not mad at you and i respect your opinion and thanks for taking the time out to read my article :)
