How to Clean Carpeting

The secret to cleaning carpeting are the products you use. You can quickly remove that stain out with a good cleaning solution. We leave the product hunting up to you and decide what is appropriate for your rug.

It is critical to know the material your carpeting is created out of. There is no single ideal method to clean any carpet. A wool rug should be cleaned differently from cotton carpeting. You cannot expose wool rug to heat, or the carpeting is ruined. Some fibers are less sensitive.

    Get your handy vacuum cleaner and clean your carpet at least a few times a week. Daily is better. Cleaning often extends the life of your carpet.

    If you drop food on the carpet, blot it up before you apply any cleaning product. Doing that will get the spot much easier.

    When using a cleaning product, test it out first in a hidden place of the carpeting. Apply the solution with a white dishcloth. If you see that it takes the color from your carpet, don't use it. This easy test can help you to not damage your rug!

    Do not forget to read the instructions on your carpet cleaner solutions before you use them. Try to use a cleaning solution that is natural around toddlers.

    Use rug product as directed and do several cleaning passes and a slower drying pass working with 3 foot square areas spaces of your rug.

    You may fill up your rug cleaner with hot water and vinegar as a last rinse to decrease the residue left from cleaning. With knowledge, practice and with the helpful tips here, you can clean your carpet like a professional!
