How to add a border around an image in Photoshop in four simple steps.

    Open up Photoshop and choose an image of your choice.

    Select the Rectangle marquee tool from the Tools panel and drag out an outline for your image. You can create any size of border you wish.

  • 3

    On the menu bar choose the Select > Inverse and on the keyboard press the delete key.

  • 4

    On the Tools panel choose the Paint bucket tool with any colour you wish and fill the border colour.

Tips & Warnings

You can have any size of border you wish by dragging out a small/big border using the marquee tool.
