• What is a Unique (Qualified) Visitor? permalink

• A unique visitor is a statistic describing a unit of traffic to a Web site, counting each visitor only once in the time frame of the report (24 hours). This statistic is relevant to site publishers and advertisers as a measure of a site's true audience size, equivalent to the term "Reach" used in other media. (learn more).

  In addition we consider a unique visitor a trackable user, from a valid source that allows ads to be displayed and accepts cookies. Content that receives traffic from users that block the Bukisa advertising will not be allegiable for revenues from those specific visitors.

• How much does it cost to sign up to Bukisa? permalink

• Joining BUKISA is free, publishing content is free and so are all the other functions of our site, such as voting, commenting and inviting friends  to join your network.

• What are some of the other benefits of joining Bukisa? permalink

• As a publisher on Bukisa your content will receive a wide range of publications. You can use this to strengthen your online identity and branding. By filling in your online profile, people can learn more about you and the services you provide, thus earning free publicity for you and/or your business.

Publishers

• When do I get paid? permalink

• We'll send you the revenues that you generated via PayPal within approximately 30 days of the end of the month in which your account balance reaches the minimum $10 USD. (Net +30)

  You can always place your payment on hold if you wish to set a higher threshold for payments.

  If your account balance is less than $10 USD at the end of the month, we'll rollover your earnings over to the following month, until the payment threshold is reached.

  Payments are issued in the first week of the month, usually on the 5th day of the month.

  Here is an example:

  Simon earned a total of $35 USD since joining Bukisa in November, earning $27 USD in November and $8 USD in December.

  Now it is the 5th of January, and Simon will recieve $27 as he has reached the minimum payout of $10 for the prior month.

  In February, Simon will not recieve more money as he only has $8 USD from the prior month, thus not meeting the minimum payout.

• Is Bukisa open to non-US residents? permalink

• Yes!!!

  As long as you own an Active and Valid PayPal account you are able to recieve payments from BUKISA.

  Signing up to participate in the community is open to all.

• Can I submit content published under my name on other sites? permalink

• Yes, you are free to submit content from other sites, as long as its YOUR content.
  
  We do recommend that you add unique content, as it will perform better for you revenue wise in the long run.

• How do I add my Twitter account to Bukisa? permalink

• If you would like us to automatically update your Twitter followers when you do one of the following:

  • Publish New Content
  • Comment on Content
  • Rate Content

  All you need to do is to be logged in, go to your Account Settings, and on the right hand side you will see a Twitter box where you need to input your Twitter username and password. We will keep your data encrypted and safe on our end.

  Once you confirm your username and password, you can choose how you want your followers to be updated.

• How do I edit my published content? permalink
• You can see the status of your articles and edit them (or remove them) at any time by signing in to your BUKISA account and going to Content List.
   
  When hovering with the mouse on the title of the content, you will see an option to edit it (the pencil), just click the pencil and you will be taken to the edit content page.

   

• How many articles can I publish per day? permalink

• We have limited the amount of daily submissions to 25 pieces of content per user.

• What is the Bukisa Index? permalink

• The Bukisa Index is a unique and exciting way you can keep track of your earnings from your published content and networks content in Real Time.

  What this number means is that for every 1,000 unique human visits to your content you will receive the USD equivalent of the Bukisa Index.

  For example, if the Bukisa Index is $4.00 that means you will receive $4.00 USD for every 1000 unique views your content receives.

  The Bukisa Index is updated at least once per month based upon the overall performance of our websites revenue streams - this involves the following: Contextual advertising, Banner advertising, e-mail marketing, joint ventures and more.

  The higher the Bukisa Index, the more money you earn.

• How do I track my earnings? permalink

• Every day you can login and see how well you did the previous day. Just login and check out "My Earnings". It also contains a complete history of your earnings over time and your past payment history.

• How does the Bukisa Revenue Sharing model work? permalink

• Bukisa's unique and revolutionary revenue sharing model is based on two main revenue streams and the innovative Bukisa Index:

  1. Getting paid for people reading, viewing or listening to your high quality published content.

  2. Getting paid for read, viewed & listened published content of your friends, friends' friends and their friends (up to three levels).

  Let's take Simon for example. Simon has 10 items published on Bukisa, each of his items are producing 100 unique views a day - that's a total of 30,000 unique views per month. So Simon is earning $120 USD per month on the above content that he published (based on a Bukisa Index of $4 USD).

  Simon knows a few people, so he decides to invite them to join Bukisa. A total of 30 of his friends sign up and start producing content. In total those 30 friends are producing 150,000 unique views per month, so Simon earns a total of 25% of their direct income ($600 USD) which is $150 USD.

  Now Simon's friends start inviting their friends, and they start inviting their friends. You can see the following example and how it plays out on all three levels below:

• On Bukisa you have the choice of choosing which kind of license your content will receive.

  You may choose between:

  1. Allow Syndication of your content (Including your original work and a link back to your works on Bukisa) - http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/
     
  2. Do not allow syndication of yours works - your work is not allowed to be copied in any way from Bukisa.
