Bukisa Index Update – March 2009
It’s that time of the month for the Bukisa Index update.
This month, we are lowering the Index quite a bit (by 30 cents to $3.42). In the spirit of transparency that we believe in, we would like to clarify the reason.
Although we were not hit quite as bad as the rest of the internet market (thanks to the advertisement systems we use), in general online advertising budgets are still being cut due to the ongoing financial crisis in the US, inevitably it affects the way we calculate the Bukisa Index.
We at Bukisa will continue our ongoing efforts to better optimize the sites ad performance in order to give our publishers the highest CPM possible.
The good news that I would like to point out is, that the traffic in March grew over 100% meaning more and more people are viewing your content and Bukisa is gaining better traction online.
So if on one hand the Bukisa Index is a bit lower, on the other hand the number of views keeps increasing dramatically.
Even at $3.42, Bukisa continues to offer the highest CPM rev-share over any of our competitors, and we do believe – as the markets will hopefully improve in the next 6 months – the index will go up again accordingly.

I, too, applaud Bukisa for their transparency. This site has fantastic revenue opportunities and the support for the community I

I am sure that as Bukisa also increases its ranking within the search engines that more revenues will be made. After all, search engines are the major producer of ad-clickers (especially the contextual advertising that Bukisa uses). Thanks for the transparency, and here

You needed to check some of the factual errors in the post. The economic crisis is global and the United States is on the rebound.

I was expecting increase in bukisa index
April 1st, 2009 at 9:15 am
Well that

It’s true that during the crisis that more people will look for “extra income†and join sites like Bukisa – but companies are slashing advertising budgets and this is no “crap†and we are feeling it

Kudos and accolades for the honest reporting of current affairs. It is refreshing in the extreme to be so informed of what is going on. Bukisa has come a long way in a very short time. Loyalty just went up a couple of points. Regards, -thestickman

“You shouldn’t be feeling it if you would adjust your site’s advertisements accordingly. It’s all about targeting the higher paying keywords and topics.
I’ve been in the internet marketing industry for 10 years now – I know what I’m talking about.
Adjust your ads. Use free promotion. And cha-ching.”

Simon is right, budgets are being slashed on advertising. Eventually the bukisa index will rise as the economy improves The G20 summit and the $1trn stimulus package will get the world economy rolling once again. http://www.bukisa.com/people/theoracleonline

Well I doubt the economy will start goin up again this year. The general consensus is next year. But I believe it may be longer

Apart from Bukisa Index, what I found is, the Views of my articles is lowering down drastically. Even the earnings today. Of course I know that it has to be unique visitors but there was an article that was viewed by 20 of my friends and still its not counted as unique. It still shows 4 views. This is really gone case

There are many international writers here. Am I right? well im one of those. There should be articles in other languages too. Yeah I know English is the n1 language (in the internet) but we could target a lot more audience if we wrote in Portuguese (like me), Brazil as a lot of surfers and there is also portugal (like me
) , Spanish, and all the other languages (sorry for not mentioning)

Hi,
I signed after reading your FAQs, I tought that the index would be higher than $4 (as the example on your FAQs section), anyways it’s clear that the site is growing, I hope that I will be able to make a good income while having fun and learning.

I am personally congratulating Bukisa for its openness to its members on how much it could pay…rather than pretend everything is alright and then not pay its hardworking members like other sites do…
Thanks Bukisa for this very important transparency…
