The Nati? Cincinnati that is; in case you didn’t know this beautiful city where I was born and raised some _ _ years ago is a really cool place to visit and hang out for a while. If you were just looking for something fun to do for a weekend and wanted to explore a different city; I think Cincinnati would be an ideal place to check out.

The first thing I recommend when you arrive is taking care of your lodging; find a campground, hotel room, bed and breakfast or a friends couch, the cheaper the better. Next, plan your activities, that way you know exactly what you’re going to be doing and not wasting time thinking about it.

A really neat way to start your first weekend day is going to the zoo; our zoo is the second oldest zoo in the United States and I think it’s awesome. If you’re not too tired from visiting all the cute animals, you could go the Union Terminal not far from the zoo, and see a show at the Omnimax Theater, visit the Cincinnati museum of natural history, children’s museum, and lot’s of other special fun things. After that you could end your first day with a nice dinner on the river; there are dozens of places to dine along the Ohio River, whether it’s on the Ohio side of the river or Kentucky’s side.

The second day of your weekend trip could include a day at King’s Island; an awesome amusement park with over 350 acres of pure fun and water parks too. This place is so big it will definitely take the entire day to ride all of the rides they have to offer. You probably won’t have much energy left to do anything else after running around Kings Island all day so I would just end the day with a quiet meal at a little quaint restaurant, as there are many around to choose from; get a good night’s sleep and call it a weekend.

Some day I hope to see your neck of the woods - the zoo sounds awesome :)
