Learn how to put downloaded into your Photoshop

There are several places on the web where you can download special brushes for Photoshop. There are thousands and thousands of all kinds of brushes to choose from. Some are free, and some aren't. And also please pay attention to whatever the brush creator has to say on the page where you downlaod a brush. Some of the free ones are only for personal use, meaning you can't use if to make advertisements and whatnot.

This process is really easy, and should work with any version of Photoshop.

Before you do anything,it's best to create a "brushes" folder in your computer. This way it's easy to organize. Then downlaod whatever brush you choose; save it as either an ABR file or a zipped/compressed file.

If you get a zipped file, right click on it and select "Extract all." Once it's extracted, you will get an ABR file. This is the brush.

Now open your Photoshop program. Click on the brush tool, and open the drop down box brush selector. On the outer right edge of the selection you have should be a small clickable arrow. Click on it, and a list of things should show up. Near the lower middle area you will see a "Load Brushes" option. Click on it, and go to your Brushes File Folder, and select that ABR file. And that's it! It might take a second, but after selecting the ABR file, you willsee the new brush you downloaded at the bottom of your brush selector box. Now you can try out that new brush.
