Is Bellacino's Restaurant a good place for pizza or a sub? Find out.

If you're looking for a convenient and tasty lunchtime spot, look no further than your local Bellacin's. Bellacino's Restaurant serves a variety of deli style offerings including salads, specialty pizzas, pasta, and sandwiches. Their specialty sandwiches are grinders that are served on made from scratch bread and baked fresh in the oven. You can choose from a large selection of grinder offerings including their house specialty Italian grinder with a variety of meats and vegetables to their steak, bbq pork, roast beef, turkey, ham and cheese, tuna, meatball, and veggie grinder, among others. They also have a variety of light sandwichs that are advertised as being 9 grams of fat or less and include light turkey, chicken, ham, roast beef, and veggie.

For the health conscious veggie eater, in addition to the light sandwiches, you can choose from a variety of entree salads including a chef salad, grilled chicken salad, greek salad, taco salad, and a veggie salad. They include a nice selection of fat free dressings. If you're health conscious, you can also choose to have any sandwich garnished with fat free mayonnaise and fat free mozzarella cheese.

Their pizza and pasta offerings are pretty standard, although they do offer a rather unique taco pizza and chicken alfredo pizza.

My husband and I recently dropped in to our local Bellacino's Restaurant for a quick lunch. Being somewhat health conscious about our food choices, we chose the Greek salad and the Veggie Salad. After looking at the menu we noticed they offered oven baked french fries. Oven baked sounded a bit more healthy than your standard deep fried french fries, so we splurged on an order. At Bellacino's, you place your order at the counter and your order is delivered to your table when its ready.

Our salads and fries arrived quickly and included large portions of each. The veggie salad was loaded with tomatoes, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, cheddar cheese, and black olives along with the requisite lettuce. The Greek salad had the addition of feta cheese and pepperoncini peppers. The salads were presented nicely and tasted fresh We both used the fat free Italian dressing which was quite good considering it was fat free. The biggest surprise was how good those oven baked french fries tasted! I couldn't have distinguished them from the less healthy, deep fried versions. We devoured them down to the last crumb.

On previous occasions, we'd tried the light sandwiches and the grinders, both of which tasted fresh and delicious.

If there's one complaint I have about Bellacino's Restaurant, it would be the prices. On our last occasion where my husband and I had the two entree salads, side order of oven baked fries, and an iced tea and water, the bill came to over $15.00. to me, this is a bit expensive for salad, especially when you can get a full salad bar at Ruby Tuesday's for $5.99 per person.

Would we return to Bellacino's Restaurant? Probably at some point. We both enjoyed the food, but found it to be overpriced compared with some of the other offerings in our area.
