The first date can be filled with nervousness and questions. You'll be wondering how it will go and if you will run into any problems. You spend hours trying to find the best outfit and you think about what you're going to say to that person. You wonder if you should invite him home afterward. Many questions raised through your mind and you can't stop playing with your hair while you're sitting next to him.

This is the deal with the first date. It's alright because soon all questions will be answered and you'll know if there'll be a second date. While you're on your first date, you can talk about any topics but don't get into the ex-boyfriend or how you live with five other guys in your home. It can scare your date away. Usually sensitive topics will scare people away on the first date. You should save them for later. If you have children, you can also refrain from telling them since it can scare them away too.

The first thing that you should avoid talking about is how good or how bad your date looks. The date will be a disaster if you tell her that she looks awful or that she's overweight. There're men that have said these things before and they never got more than the first date. It's polite to end the date without commenting about the looks of the person. You should always offer to pay for the lady. If you make the woman pays or if you ask her for money, you might not get a second date. You should never talk about how you want to go home with her either. She might thinks that you only want to go home with her. It can be too much for a first date.

If you just broke up over a disastrous relationship, you should wait until later to talk about it. If you are dating four other women currently, you should also keep that to yourself. You can stir jealously in your date. You should not talk about how lovely the waitress is either. You should leave all serious topic for the later part of the relationship.

During the first date, you can touch on light topics like their career, their hobbies, their lifestyle and any topic that is cute. You should let your date initiate the conversation too because you can look controlling if you talk or ask too many questions all the time. There should be a balance between two people. You should wait and give the other person a chance to ask you questions. On the first date, you should avoid offensive topics such as money, cheating, other women, and how you dislike her outfit. One question that can offend people is talking about their asset. They think that you only like them for their asset. If you ask a woman about her career, it can offend her since she feels like she needs to work hard for you. Women like to feel special and not just someone who has a job.
