This day together with sir Audre we verify the test I did the other day using some more systems namely: Rfx # 1, Rfx # 30, Rfx # 21 and Rfx # 19 using MAX9990 #4 and # 2. We test CR03 board # 8 and # 11.

5th Week:

May 11, 2009 (Monday)

This day together with sir Audre we verify the test I did the other day using some more systems namely: Rfx # 1, Rfx # 30, Rfx # 21 and Rfx # 19 using MAX9990 #4 and # 2. We test CR03 board # 8 and # 11. To test whether the system is okay I first used # 6 a good board of CR03. Below is the detailed information of the test:

Process Flow:

Load Program à Production modeà Install board à Calibrate board àTesting

Set-up: Rfx # 1

  • Board Calibration failure

Set-up: Rfx # 30

  • Board Calibration failure

Set-up: Rfx # 21

  • Board Calibration Passed
  • MAX9990 # 2 à loop 30 à 100% yield
  • MAX9990 # 4 à loop 30 à 100% yield

Set-up: Rfx # 19

  • Board Calibration Passed
  • MAX9990 # 2 à loop 30 à 100% yield
  • MAX9990 # 4 à loop 30 à 100% yield

Ma’am Yen told us (AJ and I) to test and get the Datalog of CR28 board # 3 and # 4. We loop the test for 30 times and the board passed. We print the summary of the result. We also endorsed those boards to the hardware laboratory for the installation on interposer.

Ma’am Yen teaches us on ho to use hardware repair database, particularly how to select the components suit for each hardware. We must check it first to FTSS.

I helped Sir Audre in testing CR21, out of three boards two were passed and the other one failed in calibration. We try to debug the board but we are out of timed. I was not able to retest CR28 after putting interposer because of CR21.

May 13, 2009 (Wednesday)

AJ and I retest CR28 after putting an interposer. In our test the two boards CR28 # 3 and # 4 passed in calibration but failed in contact. These two boards passed without interposer in our test the other day. We asked for the assistance of Ma’am Yen and Sir Audre. We are told to turn the socket 180 degrees counter clockwise. But after testing the same failure occurs. We request for a new manual actuator to Sir Audre but still failed in contact.

We detached the interposer installed in the board and re-solder some of the components attached to the pin which failure occurs. The components are C22, C4 and R16.

The boards become now okay and passed in the entire test. We print the summary of the test and return the hardware in the hardware control.

This day I retest CR28 after putting an interposer. The boards now passed. I print the summary of the test and returned the hardware in the hardware control. I borrowed LF11 dutboard in the hardware control and test it in Rfx 25. Board # 2 of LF11 is an RNYR, there are a lot of lacking components in the board namely cap1, cap3, cap4 and some resistor. I endorsed the board in the hardware laboratory for hardware repair.

May 15, 2009 (Friday)

After the installation of interposer in LF11 board # 1 and 4, I Immediately tests it in Rfx # 21. The two boards passed on calibration but failed on contact. I changed the manual actuator, this time passed in contact but failed on Bin 30 (Vector Test). I used the good board of LF11 that is board # 5 but the same failure encountered.

I re-set-up it to Rfx 25 but the problem is still the same. I asked for assistance to Ma’am Yen and explained me that this particular test (Vector Test) is system to part test. The system send signal that is 0100101101 and test the part of the integrated circuit if the same signal received. Rfx 21 and Rfx 25 are not compatible in testing LF11 maybe because they have different standards. The boards passed in Rfx # 43.

I borrowed the two remaining RNYR (Ready but Not Yet Released) boards of LF11. Board # 3 failed in contacts, when I checked the schematic some components are missing namely R6, R49 and R47. Also the reading of R13 is not the same with the one printed in the schematic. We endorsed the boards to the hardware control.
