One of the finest seafood items anyone can ever have is Lobster. This guide will give some pointers and discuss how long to boil lobster tails.

As you are probably well aware one of the treasures of the sea is the taste of a properly prepared seafood dinner. The most common question that comes up when people go to cook these items at home is how long to boil lobster tails? It's a tricky question because there really is no certain answer. There are many variables involved like if it's already been defrosted, how much and what temperature water. Today we are gonna try to break down some of the variables and answer the question of how long to boil lobster tails.

Like I mentioned above one of the factors is whether or not the food has been defrosted yet. If not then one could always use the microwave but I wouldn't recommend this because in my opinion it ruins the taste. Some people do and some people even cook it completely in the microwave which is a big mistake but different strokes for different folks. The best way to thaw out this food is to let it sit in the refrigerator for 6-12 hours or so before you cook.

Now let's talk about how long to boil lobster tails. The biggest factor here is gonna be the amount. If a person is only cooking a small amount then 3 minutes would probably get the job done. If there is a large amount then it could take as long as 20-25 minutes. Just make sure not to overcook or else it will be rubbery tasting and that is a bad thing for sure.

Personally I prefer to broil or steam cook this food instead of using a boiling method.
