America is behind the War on Terror, Not the Muslims!
A failed foreign policy led to all of todays problems
When USSR invaded Afghanistan in late 1979 USA jumped at the opportunity to cause damage to the Russian treasury and the most logical way was to make USSR increase their military spending. The US trained and gave assistance to the Afghani population to fight against the soviets. These people lost their lives in huge numbers while US provided them with latest weapons. When USSR was defeated in 1989 millons of Afghan refugees had migrated to Pakistan under the agreement that US would help Pakistan with aid to help these people. United States did give aid to Pakistan while the war was going on and as soon as the war was over they stopped the aid. This led to a crisis in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Weapons provided by the US were used by the refugees to rob the people of Pakistan because they did not recieve aid from a country which has always been in debt. The United States should have provided them with aid to build their country again and migrate to Afghanistan. But that did not happen and violence erupted in Pakistan and with 1/3rd of the country's population being refugees the economy went bust and it gained a bad name in the World. The World then labelled these Mujahideen (freedom fighters) as terrorists although a few years before they were heroes to the world. If America had provided them with relief after the war these people would have found ways to earn instead of dying helpless. Thus USA is responsible for this whole problem and not Afghans who didnt have bread to eat after they helped so USA so much in being the sole World Leaders.
