Is smoking taking toll on your health? Is your energy waning? Problems related to your smoking addiction may have led you to plan about quitting. The fear of developing smoking related diseases may have also crossed your mind. You may have assigned a specific date or week to start changing your life. The question is when is the best time to stop smoking? Most experts agree that undoubtedly the best time to stop smoking is when you have a flu or cold. During this time, tobacco just tastes terrible and more often there is little or no satisfaction gained from smoking. For most women, the most ideal time to quit the habit is during pregnancy. It is observed that women find the taste of tobacco repulsive during pregnancy and often this leads to less craving. However, these are just examples and you should not wait for any illnesses or pregnancy to happen before you plan to quit smoking. An activity which disrupts your regular routine like a vacation is also a good time to start the quitting process. Anything that deviates from your daily routine like a business trip will be a good time to set for quitting. However, if no such activities are coming up ahead, you should not put off your plan to stop smoking. You should have the willingness and desire to stop smoking despite the absence of any of the circumstances favorable to quitting. If none of these circumstances are at hand, some experts believe that it is best to set it on a weekend. Make Friday the last day you will smoke. Finally, you should let everyone close to you know that you are trying to quit smoking for good. These people will be able to help you stop smoking if they know that you are undergoing this important change in your life. They will be more understanding to your situation and will help you evade situations where smoking is inevitable. You will also be more mindful and may have more strength to resist the urge to smoke if your friends and family know that you are trying to quit smoking. You don’t want them to see you smoke again and fall back on your goal.
