God became an autodriver for my friend

Miracles are a rarity as modern man believes and trie to provide rational scientific explanations. But the truth is that here is a realm unseen and when a phenomenon touches us, we have to simply put faith and believe.

My friend and colleague at office is another average person like us at the office. She edits college books in a publishing house like us, handles freelancers and heads her department. Karen is her name. She has a great scienific temperament.

Whenever we used to have an argument over fath and logic, she narrated that her parents had tried to instil in her the love of church and faith in Jesus to ease the burdens of life. However as her parents died in a road accident while she was at hostel, she lost faith and concenterated on building up her life by her own merit. By sheer dint of labor, she topped the universities with flying colors ending in a good job.

However, Karen was destined to encounter a life changing incident. Since our office deals in book sales and promotions, we as employees are required to attend book fairs by the dozen all over the country. Karen recounted how she had fulfilled her duties on a short day in wi ter season and when she had handed over her duties, she came outside and saw that chilly night had fallen though it was only nine. She looked over for auto to return back home. Surprisingly, no auto could be found and another hour had passed. The mobile network was down. As a bicycle driver sped by, he told her not to take any auto as the drivers were supposed to be dunk. A chill enveloped her heart as Karen kept to the deserted chilly main road hoping against hope.

All of a sudden, a green pre paid auto turned around and stopped as Karen bade it to. A prayer to Jesus in her subconscious young mind took a leap as she saw the kindest bearded face of a driver. Not only did the old driver put her at ease by saying that he shall be charging a reasonable fare, but the whole route he chatted on one sundry topic or another. Karen found herself easily engaged in conversation over heavy traffic and metro services of the city. When her home came, she took money from purse and handed over to the driver. The kind old man smiled in return and his smile was so electrifying and peaceful to her soul that it connected with the Divine Lord. The driver just went away without charging a dime and Karen stood transfixed as the bearded image corresponded exactly with the photograph of the Lord that her parents had placed in their house.

Unusual things happen that cause us believe, and I expect that after that she does believe. Right? An excellent piece! Johnny Yuma
