Many years back, tuberculosis is untreatable. Today, treatments and cure is available but it is information about the disease that maybe lacking. Ignorance about the disease must be given attention.

Tuberculosis is caused by microorganisms shaped like canes. Because it is so tiny, thousands of these microorganisms can penetrate the eye of a needle.  These microorganisms are coated with a type of wax therefore disabling the antibodies to destroy them.

Tuberculosis is one of the many sensitive and grave illnesses a person can have. Millions of people die of tuberculosis every year.  As proof, here in the Philippines, the largest number of deaths is caused by tuberculosis.

These microbes can live for many days and months in a dark, cold and wet or damp area.  By the time they are inhaled by a person, they will directly attack the lungs until complications set in the whole body. Kissing can also be the vehicle to transfer or get the microbes.

When a person gets tired easily, he might be afflicted with tuberculosis.  Also, when he loses weight that fast and consistently coughs, and spits blood, experiences chest pains, perspires at night, gets fever in the afternoon, and lose appetite then most probably he has the illness already.

It will help those afflicted with tuberculosis to be in a place with fresh air around, with no pollution and smoke.  They would also need nutritious food like fruits and vegetables.  Having a daily dose of Vitamin C will help a lot, too.

There are already many available treatments for tuberculosis.  For severe cases, surgery of the most infected lung will be required.  Though most of the time, those with severe cases cannot be treated anymore, which the doctors will tell that they will only last a few months or years.
